Basement Seattle Concert reviews
I'd rather see Thunderbirds over Lake Champlain
Michael Ray was enjoyable, but Dan & Shay did not impress me. The sound mixing for both acts was subpar, which affected my engagement. Ray embodied true country vibes, while Dan & Shay felt like a clich茅 bar karaoke act. Basement truly loves what they do and delivers a tight performance with great vocals. Their sound mixing was perfect, unlike the disappointing reliance on covers instead of original material. The avant-garde take on even the "Hootie" hits was off-putting. Despite my own disappointment, the crowd seemed enthusiastic. The lack of interest in the encore was a silver lining, allowing us to beat the traffic home. In hindsight, watching the air show over Lake Champlain would have been a better choice than this concert.
